Dana Logwood, FNP

As a sick teenager who healed with natural medicine and diet, Dana is very excited to join the Gonino team in helping others with chronic diseases.

I graduated from Washington Adventist University in 1996 with a bachelors of science in nursing

I'm a graduate of Baylor family nurse petitioner program.

I'm originally from Maryland. We moved here three years ago after my husband retired for 28 years in the military.

My journey with natural healing began about 15 years ago. I began having trouble with Crohn's disease when I was 17 or 18 years old. I spent 12 years very sick and in a lot of pain, in and out of hospitals, on many different medications that often made me just as sick from side effects as I was from the Crohn's disease. Then someone told me about The Makers Diet. The principles of The Makers Diet are very similar to much of what we do at the Gonino Center for Healing. Soon after starting the makers diet, I began to get better and was able to get off of all of my medications!

When we moved to the Dallas area, I was so happy to find a doctor that believed in integrative medicine. Although my Crohn's was not active anymore, I still had residual issues from all the medications and procedures. My energy level was low and I had gained some weight from all the steroids and I was having trouble losing the weight. Dr Gonino helped me get back to a healthy weight and regain much of my energy.

I am grateful to now be training with Lesa and Dr. Gonino and to be a part of the miracles happening at the Gonino Center for healing.

I'm a Board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Texas Nurse Practitioners Association member, and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
