Lesa is happy to be working with Gonino Center for Healing in such a truly integrative setting where patients are empowered to achieve miracles of health every day.
Lesa Walker earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 1980 from the University of Florida, her home state at the time. She received a Master of Arts in Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1986, where her focus was development of a “wholistic” ministry theory to involve churches in developing programs to serve not just the spirit, but the physical and emotional health needs of congregants. After spending numerous years in emergency departments in the Chicago and Dallas areas, she pursued study as a family nurse practitioner at the University of Texas at Arlington, focusing on empowering individuals to participate in and take ownership of their physical, emotional, and spiritual well- being. After 8 years as a NP in a Wylie family practice office and 8 years serving the Rockwall underinsured community at the local Helping Hands Health Center, Lesa is happy to be working with Gonino Center for Healing in such a truly integrative setting where patients are empowered to embrace miracles of health every day.
